[TEMPORARILY CLOSED] Westin Paris – Vendôme
An important update for 2026: the Westin Paris Vendôme closed in spring 2025 for a full renovation and is expected to reopen around 2028 under a new name, so it cannot be booked right now. I am keeping it here because it holds such a special place in my heart, and I will refresh this listing the moment it welcomes guests again.
One of the most luxurious landmark hotels, the Westin sat across from the Tuileries Garden and offered sweeping views of a gorgeous Parisian landscape, including the Louvre Museum, the Eiffel Tower, l’Assemblée nationale, and the Ferris Wheel. It lies pretty close to the glitzy and glamorous Place Vendôme, a hotspot for fashion, jewelry, and couture.
I stayed here many times, and it was one of my go-tos (plus they had a great bathroom!) Several scenes from Call My Agent were also filmed here. For a similar sweeping view across the Tuileries in the meantime, look at the Regina Louvre or Le Meurice just steps away.

It is still a warm, welcoming boutique option within walking distance of the Opéra Garnier and the Grands Boulevards, with rooms on the upper floors whose balconies open onto an Eiffel Tower vista.
Since it is a mid-range boutique hotel, some rooms are downright tiny (just like those blogs you read about Parisian hotels!), but if you book a larger, superior-level room, it should fare well for your stay.

Things to consider when booking a Paris hotel with an Eiffel Tower View
There are clearly no better views of the Eiffel Tower than from the rooftops, balconies, and windows of the Parisian Haussmann buildings. But keep in mind, all these gorgeous panoramas come at a price!
Before you book a hotel with an Eiffel Tower view for your entire trip, consider these quick tips to ensure you stay within your budget for that dreamy Paris moment.
- Hotels that offer views of the Eiffel Tower, especially in the 7th arrondissement, come at a premium price. The neighborhood is one of the costliest and most posh areas of the city and does not accommodate any budget hotels. Consider staying here for a day or two and then moving to another arrondissement. This way, you not only have the lifetime experience of watching the Eiffel Tower from your window, but you can also discover the different districts Paris has to offer.
- While the Iron Lady is located in the 7th arrondissement, you can find hotels with Eiffel Tower views in the surrounding neighborhoods that won’t be a burden on your wallet. And while the Eiffel Tower might not be as close to you as it would be in the 7th arrondissement, the views would still be dazzling.
- When thinking about accommodation in Paris, think beyond just hotel rooms! Paris has a dense network of Airbnbs and vacation rentals that offer the same view (or even better!) at a different price. These would include spacious homes and a chance to live exactly like a local.
Paris is a massive city, and there is absolutely no shortage of excellent accommodations offering dreamy Eiffel Tower Views and considerate of your budget!

Tips
- Flights
- Look for fares using sites like Skyscanner or Expedia.com.
- For France (Paris), coming from the West Coast, I typically fly Air France or United. From the East Coast, I typically fly Air France or Delta.
- If you travel frequently, consider investing in a Priority Pass for access to airport lounges. Not only will you have a spot to relax before your flight and charge your devices, but you can eat and drink for free (without paying crazy airport prices!)
- Accommodation
- I use Expedia.com, Booking.com, and Hotels.com to find lodging. Always check the reviews on TripAdvisor before booking!
- If you want to stay in a rental, look at VRBO and Plum Guide.
- Transportation
- For rental car agencies, try Rentalcars.com. When traveling in Europe, I use AutoEurope to make reservations. They find the best rates and let you compare car rental agencies. I typically book with Sixt.
- For transportation from CDG Airport to anywhere in Paris, consider pre-booking with Get Transfer. It is one way to be stress-free, and you can request an English-speaking driver.
- Tours + Atractions
- I book tours with companies like Viator and GetYourGuide. Both have a wide variety of activities for every travel style. Other companies to look at include Tours by Locals and Withlocals.
- If you’re visiting a city with multiple attractions, be sure to check out a discount pass, such as CityPASS or Go City.
- Context Travel is another option, and they offer more education-based activities.
- If you are looking to buy tickets to attractions, check out Tiquet.
- Don't Forget Travel Photos
- One of my favorite things to do is to get photos taken of me while on vacation. Flytographer is a great option with photographers all over the world.
- Peace of Mind
- It’s important to have some type of travel insurance to cover any unforeseen accidents, illnesses, threats, or cancellations. I always travel with insurance and would recommend SafetyWing, SquareMouth, or Travelex Insurance as good options.
- Should you have any trouble with flight delays to the extent that you feel you deserve compensation, I encourage you to check out AirHelp. I used them, and for 1 claim I got compensated (transparency: a 2nd claim did not, but I was still glad I tried!).
