J’adore #16

Time for another J'adore my little version of things I have spotted during my web travels.

Ever had divinity? It is a favorite of my mother's and mine as well. But it is super sweet and you can only eat a little bit. These cookies, called cloud cookies, spotted on Oh Joy! remind me of divinity and I am dying to try them out!

I am sure you have heard the expression, “everything tastes better with bacon!” And in the last year or two, we have seen nearly everything matched up (some good, some very, very bad) with bacon. But this is the first time I have seen bacon jam!

You know how I feel about the Vermont Brownie Company's Chocolate Chevre (goat cheese) Brownie, but I've got my eye on some of their other flavors too. The fact that they have this sampler pack makes it all the more tempting:

And so you don't think I have a one-track mind (food!), I love these “Dear Cab Driver” napkins spotted on Internet Therapy! I have never in my life ever needed one, but I might know a few people who could use this 😉

Now, I am not sure this is safe, but it is certainly cute! A new messenger bag from San Francisco-based Timbuk2 that allows you to carry your small dog on your back. The Mutt Mover looks like a cool ride for a little guy:

  1. That napkin is a riot! Though I imagine a bit too risky to use in practice =)

    1. @Lindsey, but it would be so funny to see the cabbies’e face..also translated into French!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you know that the “fleur de lys” used to be the symbol branded onto thieves and prostitutes. It makes that necklace kinda funny.

And I like that napkin a lot! Awesome idea.

    1. @Christina, I know it is amazing when “pagan” symbols are adopted by “normal” society, kind of fun!

  3. I love all these! Those napkins are hilarious. Wonder if my cat would stay in the doggie bag. Now that the weather is nice I want to take him for walks like the Parisians do with their dogs.

    1. @Amy, oh God Amy I would love to see that! I guess as long as he/she won’t claw you to death, my Jessica defintely would. I tried to walk her when she was younger and she hated it! The napkins are insane!

  4. Katherina says:

Just fell in love with those Napkins. I think I’ll be using it as a birthday present some time, soon…. !!!

    1. @Katherina, they certainly are a conversation starter.

  6. Andi of My Beautiful Adventures says:

I want all of those sugary delights, but then I wouldn’t be able to fit into my wedding dress!

    1. @AndiP, I feel ya, I am currently in a “watch-what-I-eat” mode so I can enjoy myself in France.

I love all of these too. I had totally forgot about Divinity, sooooo good. My grandma used to make it all the time 🙂 And that napkin, hilarious. What a funny idea! I live in Germany, and the American girls used to get the German girls to write down a little German message for the cabbies for their drunken ride home, haha.
Stopped over from ftlob 🙂 Have a good one!

    1. @TexaGermaNadian, I think my Mom tried to make Divinity one time and gave up because it is so hard, love the stuff though, but hard to find! I used ask the hotel in China to write down a whole bunch of stuff and I would carry it around in my person all the time – it is kind of smart and has inspired a post about it (look for it on Tuesday!).
