J’adore #56
It is getting down to the wire for Christmas gifts – there is certainly a lot to choose from. Sales everywhere, online and off. Great gift guides to help you choose just the right gift for the last folks on your list. I have been participating in several holiday giveaways in the hopes you might win a few gadgets or cash to get let your holiday stretch a little further.
As I travel the interwebs (actually trying to avoid all the chaos!) I have run into a few items that would make great additions to your lists.

For the Tech Geek
Most tech geeks likely have all the tablets, smartphones, and gadgets they need so when it comes to delighting someone in this category you got to go with the accessories. Like sync cables from Candywirez. They come in lots of great colors (I am a sucker for red) and add a little bit of individuality and personality to devices that millions of people have.
Those gadgets need charging which can sometimes be cumbersome, better to have a dual-purpose purse that seamlessly charges as you go about your day in style. That is accomplished with an Everpurse with its full line of beautiful charging bags in many colors and textures.
For the Bookworm
For those of us who sometimes still read books the old fashion way, I love this Reader's Nest bookstand from Finnish Design Shop. It is a beautiful way to keep track of the page of your current reading selection as well as hold a few on-my-list-next books at the ready.
The perfect stocking stuffer for the reader is a bookmark with character. I can not pick which one of these hilarious bookmarks from My Bookmark on Etsy I love most. I have shared this Wizard of Oz one here, but you could probably complete your entire list finding the perfect one for every personality – they are adorable!
For the Artist inside
I have blogged about Jennifer Lee of Artizen Coaching's Unfolding Your Life Vision collage book and I mention them again because I think they are a really great gift for someone who has an artistic or creative bent. Planning doesn't always mean spreadsheets and power points.
For the Foodie
There are many gifts you can buy for the person who views the world through their stomach, but there are probably none more unique than some of the food-related experiences you can buy on Charity Buzz.
Dinner party prepared by Eric Ripert? Heaven! Lunch with Jacques Pepin? Are you kidding me! Chef for a day at Chez Panisse? Sold! These and many more experiences are available for auction – with proceeds going to charity on the Charity Buzz website. The ultimate for a good cause.
If that is a little too rich for your blood, then pick up an unusual treat like maple and cracked black pepper caramels from Quin (spotted on Food 52). Everybody does salted caramel – so maple and black better certainly is a new twist.
Have a foodie in your house that has mastered traditional cooking? Get them turned onto molecular gastronomy with this great book from MOLECULE-R. It details step by step some of the coolest techniques out there. The book is beautifully designed with gorgeous photos. A must for any self-proclaimed master chef.
That’s it for this edition of J’adore, the last one before the holidays!
How about you? Have any additions to this list?
I love, love, love that Wizard of Oz bookmark! How adorable is that! I’m not so sure about those maple and cracked black pepper caramels though!
I think the bookmarks are hilarious. I also love the purse that charges the phone. It’s perfect for the person on the go.
I love the canywirez! It would sure make some things easier telling what color goes with which device! Great picks!
There are some great ideas here! I love the book stand, and the bookmarks cracked me up!
I love those sync cables!
The Everpurse is a really cool idea. I hope they consider expanding to larger purses or messenger bags.
@Kate, I totally agree, I think it is a really cool concept.
The hardest part with some (many) of these USB cables is that only ONE SIDE is the “U” in USB,…
While the one universal side DOES connect to one’s PC (at least, in my case – NOT Mac),…
The other side might not fit your device. For example, we have two digital cameras, bit the fitting/size that connects to the camera are NOT the same. It’s not always easy to remember which cable is for which device => ARGH!!!
What great ideas, I particularly love the bookmarks. Thanks for sharing!
@Trish, those bookmarks are adorable and fun to find one for each personality whether family or friends!
That reader’s nest shelf is awesome!
@Jasmine, I think so too! It is a great way to hold your spot!
J’adore able! Parlez vous francais? L’etudient est francais …. Bonjour est merci!
@Pamela, oui je parle un peu!
Much to love here… the bright colors… and The Wicked Witch feet? To die for. As always, love the J’Adore series.
@Walker, thanks! When I went to try to find my favorite “feet” I couldn’t pick just one!
I love the hilarious bookmark!! I would laugh every time I saw it! I also love the book stand that is such a neat idea!
I like the Wizard of Oz bookmark.
