Paris Bloggers Rule!
Nine days into my vacation and the first day in Paris in a tiny cafe in the infamous Montmartre more than a dozen Parisian bloggers gathered together to meet each other IRL (and at my request, I can't believe it!).
Bloggers who I have interacted with via comments, guest posts, Twitter, and of course as readers and huge fans of all their blogs. Bloggers whom I was thrilled to finally meet in person. And all I can say is: “Paris bloggers rule!”
Some posts on this site contain affiliate links, meaning if you book or buy something through one of these links, I may earn a small commission (at no extra cost to you!). Opinions are always my own and I’ll never promote something I don’t use or believe in. Also as an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
I know I have said this many times but the blogging community is amazing. It brings people together that I would have had no chance of meeting and I feel blessed to have met some of my favorite bloggers in person! They are all truly exceptional in person.
The lines blurred, we were no longer voices hidden behind IP addresses but rather a group of people connected by their love of writing, of Paris, and of blogging. I was in awe. I had too little time with them as well. I needed to remain cognizant of the fact that it was also Mr. Misadventures vacation and could not spend all night with everyone despite the fact that I really wanted to!
After two short hours, I had to bid adieu but not before I thanked everyone and had my hubby take this group photo (unfortunately a few people had slipped out before I could everyone).
Thanks to Erica of Haven in Paris for finding the little cafe Living b'Art to host us we had the place all to ourselves, it was intimate and fun.
I am also glad I am not alone, check out what Amy had to say as well, I love the format of her post!
Think I will be back in May so looking forward to Part Deux…this time I will plan for a long evening!
Ohhh, I’m so envious. I was in Paris in early Septemer, and everybody I knew on line was away (most in America!)
Vera
@Vera, oh that is too bad!
I feel like everyone is blogging about Paris or London or Amsterdam or some other fab European capital these days, and I have major Europe Envy! I really miss living over there, sigh. Particularly on these gloomy San Francisco days.
@Kristin, totally get that. But I did miss our city while I was gone too!
Was thrilled to be there!! Can’t wait to see you again in May! Passe le bonjour à ton mari qui a eu la gentillesse de nous prendre toutes en photo!
@Lindsey, I am so happy to have met you, can’t describe it!
Glad you had such a great time! I was so sad I missed this – I’ll look for you in May! 🙂
@Sion, yes absolutely!
What a great story! Isn’t it funny how there are some people that instantly connect whether it be digitally or in person? While I was reading your post, I thought about the last few episodes of Sex in the City when Carrie is suppose to meet up with some of her “French Fans.” Your dinner was like the party Carrie missed.
Merci Beaucoup Andi!

@Catherine, I am a HUGE SATC fan and while I am a long way from Carrie’s skills set I love the illustration!
Glad you had fun Andi…..how wonderful to meet fellow bloggers in Paris….wish I had been there, xv.
@Vicki, maybe we can get you to the next one in May!
I’m so glad you got to meet almost everyone in Paris! 🙂
@Frances, merci! How was you trip?
Andi, Thank you so much for including me. I was thrilled to meet you and your husband. Also, thanks to you, I was able to meet a lot of other wonderful bloggers based in Paris. I love that it was a blogger from SF who made it happen. Look forward to seeing you in Paris or SF.
@Amy75, it was great to meet you, hope to see you when you come to SF. Hope my husband didn’t scare you with his Burgandy opinions!
awesome!
@Derek, it was!
OK, blogger meet-ups are always fun. But to have one in Paris! Oh, you guys are way too lucky. I’m envious. 😉
@Carolyn, it was really great!
Coucou Andi, my trip was amazing! Although it was a bit short..it was great to be back! Now, it’s back to reality and day-dreaming on when my next visit will be! 🙂
@Frances, i know exactly how you feel!
Hey, there we are! It was so wonderful to meet you in person, and to get to know some new friends, too. Thank you for hosting this get-together, and I hope there can be another one in the future again soon. 🙂
@Karin, cannot wait to do it again!
I am so sad I wish I could have known your site before now I would have loved to be at this meet up. I don’t many people here in France sadly. It has been over 3 years and its difficult to find friends that I didn’t meet through my husband.
@Christina, there are plenty of Paris bloggers who have started to meet-up. I will send you their blogs to check out and connect with!
Oh, I wish I had known about this meeting (and I had been invited;D
I agree with Christina, it is difficult for me to make new friends here, but I guess that happens in all big cities…
Salut Andi! Hard to believe that it was already 4 months ago this little meet-up!! My my how time flies. Hope to see you again. 🙂
@Melissa, salut! I know, I miss everyone!
