Watching | Madam Secretary
> We love political drama in the Misadventures house! Even though there is plenty of real drama in political life, sometimes we dump the news and escape into a show where there are politicians we can actually get on board with! We watched season 4 of Madam Secretary and then began re-watching the series from the beginning. We're also streaming season 3 of Versailles as it comes out every week.

Reading | Barkskins
> I have a feeling this one may be in the next couple of Currently posts. This book from Annie Proulx clocks in at 713 pages! It's the epic story of 2 Frenchmen (bien sûr!) and their descendants in Canada over many decades and it's exactly the kind of historical fiction I love to read. A recommendation from my uncle! I'll let you know how it goes. In the meantime, I devoured Cooking for Picasso from Camille Aubrey. It was the perfect combination of history, France, French cooking, love stories and a little mystery, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Working On | Lifestyle Photography
> Mr. Misadventures continues to refine his equipment so that we can up-level our lifestyle and portrait photography here and on Instagram. I learned a lot at the Catch Me At the Luxe event I did in April as well as hiring local photographers who specialize in working with bloggers.
Feeling | Busy!
> There was lots of travel this month and lots of brand collaborations, I'm thankful! And it looks like more to come. I'm starting to feel like things are moving forward again. Being on the road without a permanent address made working with brands and building a network with local PR and social media agencies more difficult, but now I've got momentum and I want to keep it going!
Planning | Paris
> We're headed back to Paris. Again. It's really hard to deny a place that captures your heart. We had such an amazing trip this past spring, and our Airbnb allowed us to feel like a local like we used to when we lived in France. It was special and we want more! So we're going back this autumn which is my favorite time of year! Fall foods in Paris? Let me at them!
Loving | My Blog Birthday
> Thanks to everyone who passed on so many well wishes and shared stories for my 10-year blogiversary. I love the community I've been able to build up for the past 10 years and I'm glad to have so many family and friends who have supported me along the way!
My Favorite Photo | Catching a King Salmon
That Alaska fishing post IS coming I promise you! I'd never been so excited and relieved to have caught a King salmon while I was in Alaska – it was an amazing experience and you are going want to read about it.
What is CURRENTLY going on with you?
Like it? PIN it!
I’ve always wanted to go to Alaska. That salmon looks huge. I haven’t watched Madam Secretary but was wondering if I’d like it when I came across the description the other day.
Ahhh so fun about Paris! What a fun thing to be able to look forward ro
What is currently going on with me is that I want that salmon! I LOVE to fish, but I’m terrible at it lol. I do it anyway, it is so relaxing!
I have heard great things about Madame Secretary!! Its on Netflix right? I might have to get started!
I am always working on my styling in lifestyle photographs as well! They do so well on Instagram!
Sounds like so many wonderful things are happening right now! Paris in the fall is my dream, but we’re actually making plans to go to Amsterdam and Munich in the fall! So I’m trying to plan all of that out. Alaska is on my list, too, and I just might have to try to catch a salmon one day! Haha
Madam Secretary always looked like an interesting show. Maybe I should check it out.
Currently I am moving into my first house this week! Lots of painting and renovating needed to be done. So much to do!
We just read The Book of Essie and thought it was SUPER great!
