J’adore Jambu Shoes

Disclosure: This is a sponsored collaboration with Jambu Footwear. As always all opinions are my own.

Let me just get right to the point. When it comes to fashion, I will ALWAYS choose comfort over style. Sometimes there is a rare intersection of the two factors, but in my experience with shoes, that is a rare occurrence! Jambu are comfortable shoes for women that are actually stylish!

This is also always on my mind when packing for Paris. I am a Francophile at heart who admires the chic nature of the Parisian women, but I am also generally walking 10-15 miles a day. What to do? Nothing screams “tourist” more than a pair of tennis sneakers, although I do get away with my kicks. However, you don’t need to look like you've just come from the gym to be comfortable.

I had never heard of Jambu and am so grateful they reached out to collaborate. Jambu has 3 brands. Trendy looks focused on comfort and fashion from JBU (Just Be You), and Jsport with sporty options spotlighting comfortable, casual, shoes with sports appeal, plus with the core line, Jambu.

No matter what your adventure, or misadventure in my case, there is a perfect style of Jambu for you. Over the past few weeks, I test-drove the following autumn models:

  • Jambu Rimini in black
  • Jambu Sunkist in red
  • Jambu Miranda in whiskey
  • Jambu Emma in brown

You guys know that you can often find the hubby and me out and about on weekend adventures. Lots of outdoor shoes are very comfortable, that's kind of the point, but rarely would you call them cute or stylish. This is why I am head over heels in love with the Jambu Sunkist which of course I got in red!

I tested them out for the first time when we went camping at Toroweap Overlook in the Grand Canyon. This is a rough-and-tumble spot that requires a high clearance 4×4 vehicle so there weren't any nice paths or sidewalks. I was worried that I was going to ruin these shoes the first weekend out, but that was absolutely NOT the case! The shoes have what Jambu calls “All Terra Traction” which is partially recycled compressed rubber bottoms that are very durable.

We hiked from our camp spot to the overlook for sunset photography and the foam footbed was comfortable and handled the rocky terrain with ease. Given that inaugural weekend, and the ways the shoes “handled” I am wearing these all the time!

Jambu Miranda and Rimini Booties

My last job in San Francisco was the Director of Social Media at a private bank. I was required to wear business clothing 4 days a week. I worked in the Financial District and walked from BART (how I commuted) and out to lunch along with my many rotations around the office for meetings and visits with my team. I rarely wore heels because after an hour or two my feet would kill me. My regular shoe of choice was long black boots.

They are currently gathering dust at the bottom of my closet because I haven't really had a need for them in the desert and they are kind of cumbersome to travel with when I go to Paris. I thought my “boot life” was over until I discovered the cute botties from Jambu. I love the look of boots with jeans, so when I am going out and want to be more stylish I now throw on my Rimini in black or Miranda in whiskey. As you may notice, it is too hot to wear full-length socks so I wear booties!

Jambu Emma Boots

I took my new Jambu Emma to the back-country while chasing the Aspen tree leaf changing at the Grand Canyon North Rim. After spending a day there at the end of our Toroweap Overlook camping adventures, we knew we wanted to return because the meadows and the trees are stunning. On our first trip to the North Rim, we did the classic car tour at Bright Angel, Cape Royal, and Point Imperial. When we returned a few weekends later we took the Jeep at went off-road.

I wasn't hiking so I didn't need a technical boot, but I don't like the idea of traipsing around in the high grass and dusty roads in flats, so I grabbed my Emmas for the day. They were a good shoe for meandering through the trees and I'm looking forward to taking these with me to Paris this weekend. These boots have Jambu’s SATRA certified water-resistant materials. Water rolls off the surface, so if it rains while I am there – always a possibility in October, I should be just fine.

All the shoes are comfortable, they look good without having to try too hard and they don't weigh a lot, which is perfect for packing in my suitcase. They were such a welcome refreshment to my wardrobe.

You can add them to your wardrobe too! Jambu Emma, Rimini, Sunkist, and Miranda are available on Amazon or buy direct from Jambu.com.

How about you? Have you checked out Jambu Shoes? What are you looking for in a shoe these days? Any of the ones I have caught your attention? Do share!

  1. Totally right there with you. I’m a HUGE shoe freak (read: addiction) and like to look cute, but I also walk a million miles/day and I want to be comfortable. I agree it’s rare that stylish and comfortable intersect, but good to know you found a brand that does both! I must say that the Rimini booties in black are really cute, but the Jambu Emma Boots are chic! Those are my favorites of the ones you listed. My next question was how heavy they were and you said they were light and easily packable. Win-win!

    1. @Heather, oh my goodness you brought up an EXCELLENT point that I forgot to write about – they are all super LIGHT! Seriously, I couldn’t believe how light they are! Especially Emma which looks like it would be heavy but ISN’T!

  2. Neely Moldovan says:

Those shoes look super nice! I always love to hear about shoes that are new to me!

    1. @Neely, the brand was new to me as well and they are such a great discovery!

  3. Until reading this post, I hadn’t actually heard of Jambu. This brand does look like it produces real quality footwear, especially if you love the outdoors as much as we both do. I am going to look into this further and apart from finding out about these, the 15% discount is also another bonus. Thank you.

  4. I really like those booties! I wonder if they have a similar style for men? Have to go check!

  5. Anita Anderson says:

I have not heard of Jambu shoes either but I have to say they look very comfortable. So many different designs and styles that it makes it hard to choose which one you want to get.

    1. @Anita, I had not heard of them but they are a wonderful new find! And I hear you on making a choice!

  6. These are super cute 🙂 I love a comfortable/cute shoe…actually I love shoes. Those photograph well! I love the short style of the Rimini ones, super realistic. You would also catch me in the Mirandas on a night out too! Love them!

  7. Looking stylish! I love how it look like! Flats and comfy boots are my top on the list!

  8. OOOOOKAAAAYYYY!!!!! I’m officially a FAN! I have plantar fasciitis and it is soooooo incredibly difficult to find fashionable shoes, that are comfortable, don’t take up half my suitcase, don’t weight 10 lbs per shoe, and have a slight heel on them. If I don’t get the exact shoe my toes end up going numb and I get shooting pains into my calves. I’m soooo excited to see that these have all the qualifications that I look for in a shoe. I usually go with Keens for traveling, but these look like they may just perhaps fit my bill for shoes. I might just have to get those red ones, and maybe the short black boots too.

  9. Those Jambu Emma Boots!! Definitely looking into these. I love them!! Very cute.

  10. Have you figured out how many miles you traveled for this one shoe post? You get around girl. Jenn could use stylish and super-light shoes. It seems like we are fighting weight on our budget airlines and she wants to bring three pairs on every trip. Every once counts and these are really cute.

  11. I agree! I go for comfort first. I love the Jambu Ramini Booties! So perfect for Fall <3

  12. These boots are so cute! I am always worried about comfort, so I’ll have to check them out!

  13. Same here. I am for sure a comfort over style type. Those shoes look very nice.

  14. So cute!!! Comfort is a must when I travel, but I want to look stylish, too. Not always an easy mix. I love the sandals and all of the boots. I hadn’t heard of this brand before. Thanks for sharing! I’m going to add some to my Christmas list!

    1. @Juliann, they are a new discovery for me and I am so glad I have them!

  15. omg these look so incredibly and not just that but extremely comfortable! i def am going to look more into getting a pair myself!

  16. I haven’t heard of this brand before, but I am so glad you put them on my radar. I am in desperate need of new fall shoes and these are all so adorable! I really need to get my hands (or feet!) on those Jambu Emma!

  17. Lisa Rios says:

I love those shoes! Now it’s so tempting to go buy a few pairs… especially those black leather ones.

  18. I am with you. I always pick comfort over style and I am the one wearing sneakers everywhere! But these shoes are so cute and to hear they are comfy too is an added bonus!

  19. These are all so cute, I haven’t heard of this brand but I love how many different options they have! One for everyday of the week!

  20. The Rimini booties are calling my name. I love how on trend they are, without being uncomfortable.

  21. Those Miranda boots are by far my favorite. They’re so cute, I can hardly believe they’re designed with comfort in mind. You totally rock every one of these!

My love has been sweeping me off for entire weekend-long escapades lately… I think I might need to invest in a pair of these instead of my own heels. They’re getting old fast!

  22. Oh it is true, at this age it’s sometimes hard to find cute and comfy in the same shoe! I know, because I just went shoe shopping last week and came back empty handed! Will have to give these a try! Thanks!

  23. They use to make super cute wedges. It appears they have changed their style and no longer have anything spectacular.

    1. @Jenny, have you looked recently? There were some cute wedges in the spring. I looked at the lookbook for this coming fall/winter and there aren’t any but I would check back in the spring for new ones. As for past styles, Amazon carries them for a long time you might find some cute wedges in the Jambu store on Amazon.
