Watching | A Very Secret Service & Mad Men
> I have been trying to get Mr. Misadventures to watch Mad Men for years! It took watching a very funny French show called A Very Secret Service taking place in Paris in the 1960s to convince him he'd love the clothes, furniture, and aesthetics of Mad Men.

I've worked in Marketing for the last 30 years so I can relate to the agency and advertising environment, but it is completely foreign to the hubby who worked in IT for 30+ years, I wanted him to see how the modern advertising age began and it is so interesting to see his reactions to that medium and to the people in that Mad Men office!
Reading | The Great Alone
> I am in the same spot of The Great Alone that I was last month, which is at the beginning. I have been focused on writing blog content for Oct-Nov-December so that I can focus on SEO. But I am about to fly to Paris so I will be reading (and finishing) this book along with The Tenth Island, a book that takes place in the Azores, a spot that is high on my list of travel destinations. The flights are long, so reading 2 books is totally doable!
Working On | What to Wear
> October is a tricky month in Paris. It can be warm or cold and that makes it tough for packing! We will be staying in 3 Airbnbs, 2 in Paris and 1 in Cancale in Brittany, and will have the ability to wash clothes, but I'll still have to pack layers as I did in April/May this year.
Feeling | Busy
> The weather hasn't cooled off yet, but we have been out nearly every weekend in September and we have plans through most of November! We've done a prickly pear harvest at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, a weekend camping at Toroweap Overlook at the Grand Canyon, a trip to Tucson, and we just got back from a second trip to the Grand Canyon North Rim to catch the Aspen tree changing leaves before the park is closed (they close from Oct to May) and this coming weekend we are headed to Flagstaff to chase the leaves there. All before we get to Paris!
Planning | Blog work
> I will be focused on updating older blog posts on the site, making sure the information is accurate, improving photos, optimizing them for SEO, and creating Pinterest images. I have put my Traveler Tuesday and A to Z series on hiatus (actually A to Z won't end until October 18, but that's impending) and have lightened my editorial schedule to allow more time for this process.
Loving | Low Carb Life
> New low carb products are coming out all the time and it is fun to try them out and fit them into our low-carb lifestyle. We are eating pasta at least once a week, I get to have a beer and now even margaritas! Who says that I am depriving myself of anything?
My Favorite Photo | Monarch Butterfly

Mr. Misadventures and I headed to Tucson a few Sundays ago. The hubby wanted to test a lens on the hummingbirds they have at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, a spot we really love, and then we wanted to check out what the Aspen trees looked like at the top of Mt. Lemmon. What we didn't know was that we were visiting both spots right in the middle of the Monarch Butterfly migration. They were everywhere and so beautiful!
What is CURRENTLY going on with you?
Like it? PIN it!

Wow, the butterfly picture came out awesomely! I’ve never been to any of the spots but I do hope to get around more. I’m just in the Northeast of the US. I love the way you formatted your post though, easy to keep up with.
I am jealous about your Paris trip. I have also been spending a lot of time redoing old blog posts, Time consuming but very worth it
I’m going to check out your reading selection. I hope you get less busy soon!!

That butterfly picture is gorgeous! I cannot wait to hear more about your trip to France! It sounds like you’ll have a wonderful time!
That is a really cool photo, perfect shot! I’ve been busy with life last September. Lots of things happened.
I am cleaning up my site and SEO as well. I figure I’d do it before the end of the year.
