What a week! We’re into our second week at Gold Canyon with one week left and time is flying.
My old team from work, once colleagues, now friends (even though I was boss) because besides being passionate about what we do, we have a lot in common, like food….anyway….they came in from San Francisco to check in on life in the RV and to go to a Spring Training game together.
Thanks to Buick who lent me an Enclave, which we all loved, I was able to haul us around to and fro with ease. We ate out, we BBQed and we stuffed our faces at the San Francisco Giants game.
They left on Tuesday and I was in deep tax prep mode, my eyes glued to the tax calculator. Lord help me, but I got it all done by Wednesday afternoon on our way to our accountant with the usual prayers to the IRS gods for a refund! Thursday I worked on booking our new homes along the road through mud-August and its exciting to see the year progress and the evolution of our route. I also completed my presentation for my session at the upcoming WITS summit in Irvine. (You can still buy a ticket!)
Mr. Misadventures was getting a little stir crazy so we headed to the Apache Trail to do some sunset photography at the Roosevelt Dam. There were no clouds and a slight wind so it was a bit of a bust, but it was nice to get out and see the incredible landscape which is in full bloom at the moment.
We are going to be checking out some of the wine region around Jerome and Prescott this weekend, should be interesting.
That’s it for this week! Happy escaping! Follow me on Instagram for real-time activities from Gold Canyon!

The cacti alone are a good reason to go to Arizona. I’m not into sports so I would avoid any spring training games, unless I’m with my brothers.
