RV Travels: Weekly Wanderings #21 – Lisbon/Phoenix

Weekly-Wanderings-Lisbon

Oh wow! Did a whole week go by without a new blog post? Guess I was having too much fun in Portugal!

The [sponsored] Viking River Cruise on the Douro could not have been a better choice. This region is stunningly beautiful and mass tourism hasn't reached the sleepy villages spoiling the simple, hard-working wine culture that was established here centuries ago.

Blog posts on my trip and the Viking River Cruise experience soon. I'm still posting pictures on Instagram, so head over there to get a jump start,

We left Lisbon on Wednesday and flew back to Phoenix. We went from 70-80's temps to the over 100's – yikes! Here in the greater Phoenix area, by 10 am it is already 100, it's crazy.

The last two days we've been scrambling to prepare for the next six+ months on the road.

We leave Sunday morning and we'll be driving 3 days before getting to central Oregon.

Current location:

Surprise, Arizona.

So, what have you been up to?

  1. So we’ll be in Seaside, Oregon the week of the 11th (and in Astoria on the 16th for my sister-in-law’s wedding). We already determined that you’ll be far from there, right? I’m looking forward to your posts on Portugal!

@Katie, we will be far and for that I am sad! I am hoping that we get in and out of Alabama quick so that we can stick to my East Coast plan and I can see you!

@Kristin, yep, hilarious, right? The Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers have a stadium there for spring training.
