What Do You Really Need To Get Fit?

If you have been reading Misadventures with Andi for a while, you will know that fitness is not my favorite thing. However, I recognize it is an important thing. I have been on various fitness journies and have some thoughts to share.

Are you interested in getting fit? If so, then you might be interested in what I think you will need to achieve the right results. People often assume that getting fit is simply a matter of having the will to do so. However, in reality, it takes a little more than this.

Knowing what to expect will help ensure that you are more likely to succeed on this journey. So with that in mind, let’s take a look at my suggestions for what you will need to improve your levels of fitness, lose weight and get in shape.

You Need a Fitness Plan

First, you need to make sure that you have a plan in place. Without a plan, you will be directionless and this can make it more difficult to see the results you hoped for as quickly as you would like. Your plan can include anything.

For instance, you might decide to incorporate cosmetic treatment such as cold sculpting or a tummy tuck into your plans. Lots of people find it useful for getting a jump start on their fitness. If you like what you see when you look in the mirror, then you will be incentivized to put the work in and ensure that you maintain what you have already achieved.

If you go this route make sure you consider the recovery. Here are some cold sculpting and tummy tuck recovery tips to ensure that you have the smoothest experience possible if you do explore this possibility. It is important to know what to expect and to plan for what your fitness routine will be after these procedures.

I think a fitness journal also helps and I have one for you!

Fitness Tech May Help

It’s useful to invest in the right types of tech when you are looking to get fit. Technology will ensure that you can easily keep track of your progress and guarantee that you are always on the right track. This can also provide you with the motivation that you need to keep moving forward.

The good news is that this tech isn’t as expensive as most people assume and will easily fit the average budget. I had FitBits for a long time before moving to an iWatch but there are many other choices as well, and apps too!

Fitness Takes Time

You are going to need enough time to focus on your fitness plans. For instance, you’ll need to find time to prepare the right food while also working out each week. This can be difficult if you are juggling a hectic schedule due to professional and personal commitments.

The good news is that there are always steps that you can take to help you gain time or even multi-task. For instance, you might want to try desk yoga. As the name suggests, desk yoga involves fitness activities that you can complete around your desk while you are in the office on breaks.

You Need Energy

You’re going to struggle with getting fit if you don’t spend time on exercise and workout routines. Eating a healthy diet will only get you so far. Particularly, if your metabolism makes it more difficult to achieve the right results as quickly as you would like.

This means that you need to have a certain amount of energy and enough each day to spend the right amount of time on your fitness. There are lots of things that can impact your levels of energy.

For instance, you could be stressed. Stress is always going to leave you feeling totally drained of energy and it will be a struggle to get off the sofa or even to get out of bed each morning.

That’s why it’s important to make sure that you do think about how to relax a little more. Options such as yoga can be a great way to relax and focus on your mental and physical health at the same time.

I recently discovered patches from The Patch Brand, a wonderful line of wellness vitamins that are delivered via a patch you wear on your arm. They have one for energy that will help get you going!

Sleep is Important!

You might also want to consider your sleep routine. On average, you need about eight hours of sleep each day. Remember, sleep is important for weight loss and muscle growth. If you’re not getting enough sleep each day, then you are going to struggle with both of these goals. So, how can you ensure you get enough sleep?

Well, you might want to think about improving your sleep environment. The right changes here will ensure that you can easily get more sleep each and every night. This could include buying a new bed, improving your mattress, or preventing light from seeping into your bedroom at night (I use this mask).

Don’t forget that you can also plug holes in energy levels with the right supplements. You just need to check reviews for products like this online. The Patch Brand also has sleep patches! Their specialized formulas were developed using new patch technology that is clean, and highly effective (compared to gummies and regular vitamin capsules).

The sleep patch works great and is also a must-have for travel and dealing with jetlag. If you are traveling, also check out the immunity patch, perfect for giving a little extra protection while in places like planes and trains.

Confidence

Getting fit requires a certain level of confidence. You’ll need to feel confident in the way you look and confident in what you can achieve. After all, getting fit requires you to put a certain level of focus on yourself physically. When your body changes and adapts to your new fitness plan, it will almost always lead to increased levels of attention.

Confidential Girl

You need to have confidence in what you can achieve. This will determine whether you are successful in reaching your fitness goals. It’s not always easy to guarantee that this is the case.

Particularly, if you have failed before. Share with your friends or family about your new fitness journey and what you are hoping to achieve. They can help you build up your levels of confidence.

Reward Yourself

This is a journey and it takes time. You need to leave room to reward yourself. Have a cheat day or a day off from workouts. Otherwise, you will feel deprived and you will not stick to your plan. You decide the frequency but don't skip it!

I hope this has helped a bit. Remember, achieving the results you’re hoping for can be a long road. But it will always be worth it in the end.
