Trip to Paris

Paris summers have been getting hotter over the years and many locations are without air conditioning due to the age of the buildings. Here is a full list of what to pack with when traveling to Paris over the summer.

Paris Vacation Packing Must Haves

Bring the right shoes!

Just because it is hot doesn’t mean that Parisians do sloppy: Find a pair of leather flat sandals that can take you from day to night. You can also bring a pair of lightweight canvas fashion sneakers (think Converse or Keds) that will be comfortable for long days of exploring.

Don’t skip on accessories

A scarf (with many uses, including covering your shoulders when visiting a church), a hat and sunglasses, and sunscreen should also be on your summer packing list for Paris.

Hydration is key

It is a good idea to bring a refillable water bottle. Paris is also home to over 700 public water fountains (hello free water!)

Dress it up

Just because it’s hot doesn’t mean that Parisians are letting go of their legendary sense of style. Remember that they dress conservatively so in order not to stand out, carefully pick out the outfit pieces you want to bring with.

Be ready for all eventualities

A lightweight rain jacket and small purse umbrella are musts. Mornings can also be chilly so a cardigan is a great idea.
