Back in the U.S. my family did a lot of road trips which meant diner breakfasts including coffee We would always get a strange look when as kids we would order a cup of coffee!

Spain

In my late teens, I worked in Madrid and to espresso in the office I worked in. It was strong and rich and when I returned to the U.S. I brought back my first espresso machine!

My Coffee Story

Switzerland

In my 30's I moved to Switzerland for work and was introduced to the Swiss brand Nespresso. All my meetings started or ended with an espresso with colleagues - my days were wired!

San Francisco

Once back in the US, I worked in San Francisco which has an endless variety of coffee shops and roasters. It's where I was introduced to Counter Culture coffee.

Phoenix

Phoenix has a good coffee scene with excellent independent roasters like Cartel and some very cool coffee shops like Changing Hands and Berdenas.

North Carolina

Little did I know when I discovered the Coffee Cultures shop in San Francisco that I would end up living in the state where Counter Culture coffee is based!
