A to Z interview series with Arizona bloggers

When I first moved to the Phoenix area, one of the first things I noticed as I was hopping around on Facebook looking for local groups was how organized the Mom groups are in the region, definitely and a fantastic group of women to tap into and I am so pleased to have several of them as interviewees coming up on the blog. First up is Vicki of Surprise AZ Mom. Not only is she a blogger (one that was named Top Phoenix Blogger on and but also a real estate agent and that combo definitely is a well of knowledge for the local area!

Let’s meet Vicki!

A to Z - Vicki of Surprise AZ Mom

[1] Favorite thing about Phoenix.
I love the availability of so many different types of entertainment. You can have city, country, desert, mountains, snow, lakes, valleys, and historical options. Arizona is so varied in climate and is so diverse!

[2] Least favorite thing aboutPhoenix.
Those 120 degree days

[3] What differentiates your area of the Valley of the Sun from all the other parts?
We live in Surprise, which is considered “far west valley”. I think we have a lot of different types of people in our part of the valley that have sought Surprise out from other states and even other countries!

[4] Favorite coffee spot in Phoenix.
I love The Teapot in Central Phoenix on 5th Avenue and Roosevelt. They have a kids menu, lots of coffees and an amazing play area outside

[5] Favorite spot for drinks in Phoenix.
Vogue Bistro in Surprise is my favorite place because it is walking distance from my house! I also like Westgate if we are having a date night!

[6] Favorite local hangout in Phoenix.
That’s a hard one! I’m usually with my kids, so hanging out is usually with my kids! We love different parks and libraries. I would probably have to pick the White Tanks Library and White Tanks Regional Park

[7] Favorite breakfast spot in Phoenix.
Oooh, that’s a hard one. I haven’t really gone out for breakfast as we usually wake up at daybreak…

[8] Favorite lunch spot in Phoenix.
It’s a drive, but I love going to Mortimer in Dewey Humbolt farms. Sometimes they have BBQ and it has a great play area for the kids.

[9] Favorite dinner spot in Phoenix.
Babbos! Its family friendly, but also great for a date night!

[10] One thing you always do/spot you always take friends from out of town to do/see.
We love going to either the White Tanks Regional Park or Estrella. Or if we are feeling a little more adventurous, Sedona!

[11] How do you like to beat the heat?
Pools, fun indoor places (I have a huge list of indoor places that we have reviewed on the blog), splashpads, fun indoor activities and then there is always booking a vacation elsewhere!!

Thanks Vicki !

You can keep up with Vicki on Facebook, TwitterInstagram, Pinterest, and of course on her blog. Wherever you catch her, I am sure you will enjoy her Arizona adventures!

I've only been to Arizona once and we stayed in Surprise! My husband thought it was hilarious to yell "Surprise" every time we saw the city sign! It was NOT hilarious.
