#SahaleInspired on the Road

I don’t think it was an accident that my first experiences with Sahale Snacks were at the airport. It was writing on the wall that I would one day become a brand ambassador! I used to pick them up with a bottle of water (or coconut water if I was lucky) for my flight. While airline food has come a long way, it still has miles to go. Most of the time the snacks leave something to be desired. … [Read more...]

Visiting Tucson – Pima Air & Space Museum

From the moment we arrived at our RV prep spot in Arizona we had the constant distraction of jet fighters from Luke Air Force Base, home of the F-16 Fighting Falcon training facility. All day and into the evening the jets could be seen and heard doing their maneuvers. It was kind of cool. A few years back when visiting Tombstone, we passed an airplane boneyard off the I-10 freeway and Mr. … [Read more...]

Hawaiian Airlines’ 85th Anniversary

In the process of trying to check-in online and make sure our luggage would go all the way to Florence from San Francisco, Mr. … [Read more...]

That way you may actually enjoy your destination when you get there! Bring sanitizing wipes and use them. (Not quite) Wordless Wednesday #140: First Commercial American International Flight

You could walk right by this sign in Key West and miss it, unless you are a fan of signs like I am.  And when you are talking about an travel first, it is even all the more interesting. Key West is steeped in history and this sign describes only one of many firsts that this little city can claim.  I love how the palm trees drape the sign, it looks so tropical, like you might stumble upon it coming … [Read more...]

Travel Tip Tuesday – "Free" Airplane Sitter

This tip comes from Lisa Dearen of The Gonzo Gourmet who I sat with at lunch while at the SITS Bloggy Bootcamp in San Diego over the weekend. Not having kids I would have never thought of this one on my own and I think it is brilliant so I had to share! Lisa told me that when she is traveling alone with her daughter she looks for an unaccompanied minor to sit next to.  The majority of the time … [Read more...]
