Traveler Tuesday Travel Blogger Interview with Sharon of Travel Eat Enjoy Repeat

[1] When and how did you become a traveler?
I travelled alone for the first time when I was 10 or so to Italy during an organized trip. I had so much fun that I wanted to do that as much as possible. Since I am 18 I travel at least once a year, but often more.

[2] What kind of traveler do you define yourself as?
I haven’t really thought about that before. I think I am a foodie traveller because food is so important for me on my travels. One of the first things that I do when planning a trip is looking for restaurants.

[3] What do you love most about traveling?
I like exploring new things and getting to know new cultures. And I can also enjoy the peace and quiet of nature while hiking.

[4] What do you dislike about traveling?
Waiting. Waiting on the train, plane, bus, … I hate waiting because I think it is time wasted that could have spent on exploring things.

[5] Why should people travel?
I think you learn so much from travelling: new cultures, new foods but also independence and patience.

[6] What famous person would you like to travel with?
Heston Blumenthal because he also loves food. Every chef is welcome to join me 😊

[7] Travel essentials – 3 things you always travel with
Phone, camera and a good book. I use my phone for everything: connecting with family and friends, navigating, looking up nice restaurants and interesting things to do. My camera for capturing all those beautiful things. But sometimes I just let myself put my camera away to enjoy the moment without looking through it. And a good book to kill time waiting 😊

[8] If you’re a foodie, what's your favorite food city? Do you have a restaurant recommendation?
My favorite food city would me Madrid. My favorite restaurant when we were there was “Taberna del Chato”, a small tapas restaurant. But not your ordinary tapas but things like steak tartare, tuna tartare, ceviche. Delicious.

[9] What's one location on your bucket list?
Antarctica. But I will need to save a lot of money to go there.

[10] Do you have a piece of advice for bloggers starting out?
Think of blogging as sharing all your wonderful experiences, that is why I started to blog. Don’t put too much pressure on it and just enjoy.
