A to Z – Teena & Ranaa of Real Women Talk 2

A to Z interview series with Arizona bloggers

I’m not a mom but I can appreciate the pressure that they are under. And with society today, everything you do is under a microscope and reflected on social media. So what if you aren’t the perfectly scripted mom, what if you actually live in the “real” world and not some fairy-book Instagram perfect world? Well, Teena and Ranaa of Real Women Talk2 have got your back!

Let’s meet Teena & Ranaa!

Teena & Ranaa of Real Women Talk2

[1] Favorite thing about Phoenix.

Teena: I moved here a little over 2 years ago from MI. What made me fall in love with AZ was the family orientated feeling I got immediately. There are so many fun things to do as a family and the East Valley just feels like a big welcoming family.

Ranaa: I love that Phoenix is a developing city. It one of the prettiest states that I have lived in and it’s nice that we are not too far from California and Nevada for weekend getaways.

[2] Least favorite thing about Phoenix.

Teena: I can not lie…I am not a fan of summer but I will take AZ summers over a Michigan winter any day!

Ranaa: There aren’t many places that stay open past 9/10 pm in Chandler/Gilbert area. And I absolutely hate scorpions and snakes which unfortunately come with living in Phoenix.

[3] What differentiates your area of the Valley of the Sun from all the other parts?

Teena: I can only speak on the East Valley. I have only lived in Chandler and Gilbert but from what I can see we seem a little more developed.

Ranaa: The east valley has so much to offer from jobs to entertainment to great communities for growing families.

[4] Favorite coffee spot in Phoenix.

Teena: Provision they have the best Lavender Honey Latte

Ranaa: Sorry, I am not much of a coffee drinker. Sorry. I know I’m weird lol

[10] One thing you always do/spot you always take friends from out of town to do/see.

Teena: This is so funny to me because every time family comes to visit we always go to LoLo’s Chicken & Waffle…good Food and great cocktails Plus they are usually playing the jams on the radio!!

Ranaa: We usually take friends/family to one of these restaurants when they visit here.

[11] How do you like to beat the heat?

Teena: We as a family hang out at the pool! Our favorite is Mesquite Grove and on Sunday they have a family day (the entire family gets in for one dollar!) and a lot of frozen yogurt from Zoyo

Ranaa: Go out at night. Lol. Honestly, all you can do is stay hydrated and maybe eat more ice cream for four months. Then the rest of the eight months in Arizona are paradise.

I have heard great things about Arizona. In fact, we have a good friend who is moving there later this year because of how nice it is. We have a Snooze Eatery around here and it is to die for! Always long line though, but definitely worth it for the yummy food!

What a fun interview session! I love TN summers and winters. I am like her I could never live up north where it snows all the time. I better stay where I’m at. Phoenix looks like a great place to live.

This was a very entertaining interview. The images were really lovely and made me what to run out to my local coffee shop. Arizona is one state I have not visited, but seems like a good place to go when you’re tired of long cold winters.

I’m in Arizona too! We have lived in three different homes in Gilbert and love it here. I grew up in Globe and moved to Tempe to go to ASU after high school. You have some of our favorite restaurants and activities listed here. Agree that in the summer you just eat more ice cream and stay inside but the rest of the year is incredible!
