A to Z – Jessica of Mom Life Exposed

A to Z interview series with Arizona bloggers

I met Jessica of Mom Life Exposed at the Catch Me at Luxe Blogger/Photographer event in April and was immediately impressed with this smart, friendly and did an awful lot of smiling – I liked her! She has a surprising mixture of pedigree as well! She’s got a masters, is a trained archaeologist, she serves part-time in the Air Force, likes to run marathons and is currently a stay-at-home Mom building a blogging empire. Did I mention friendly? She’s approachable and unapologetic about what mom life is really like.

Let’s meet Jessica!

A to Z - Jessica of Mom Life Exposed

[1] Favorite thing about Phoenix.
I am from the Northeast so not having a winter with minus 20-degree weather was such a nice change of pace!

[2] Least favorite thing about Phoenix.
Not a whole lot of the color green!

[3] What differentiates your area of the Valley of the Sun from all the other parts?
I just moved here about 8 months ago so I am still figuring out the area. I will say despite being surrounded by hundreds of houses in all directions Surprise is so much quieter than I ever would have expected!

[4] Favorite coffee spot in Phoenix.
My back patio when it’s not 100 degrees out. As a stay at home Mom on a single income I spend most of my time at the house with my little man and some luxuries end up going by the wayside.

[5] Favorite local hangout in Phoenix.
The White Tanks Library has one of the most beautiful views from a library I have ever seen and I love to bring my son there to run around and play.

[6] Favorite breakfast spot in Phoenix.
Robeks Fresh Juices & Smoothies have a delicious Acai bowl that reminds me of our babymoon to Hawaii

[7] Favorite lunch spot in Phoenix.
As a lifelong resident of the North East Chick-fil-A is our go-to quick dinner spot with a drive-through, which is key when you have a cranky 1-year-old in the back seat!

[8] Favorite dinner spot in Phoenix.
The new Pieology in Surprise gives an amazing military discount and gives us some of that taste of New York style pizza we are missing. It has become our new Friday pizza night ritual.

[9] One thing you always do/spot you always take friends from out of town to do/see.
So far Top Golf has been a fun place to bring friends and family for a nice evening to spend together while having fun. We are definitely looking forward to the new location in Glendale!

[10] How do you like to beat the heat?
By jumping into our pool!

Phoenix sounds a lot like the high desert around Los Angeles. Not much green and very hot!
