J’adore Frenchie Finds February 2021

The French do most definitely celebrate Valentine's Day, although, for the most part, they give chocolate. Not a bad gift at all, but if you are looking for ideas for Valentine's gifts for Francophiles, I've got you covered. If you have a France lover or Frenchie wannabe in your life with a Galentine's Day, birthday, or another special occasion event, these will work for you as well!

Bistro Tile Nut Bowl

Bistro Tile Nut Bowl from Anthropologie

Well, Anthrolpolgie may say this Bistro Tile Bowl is for nuts, but I say it is for anything! It is très mignon! Whether you put jewelry, knickknacks, or cacahuetes, this will be a great addition to any table!

Paris Poster from NBOURHOOD

Posters from NBOURHOOD

As a traveler, I have always been a fan of maps and cityscapes, and I love anything vintage. This Paris Poster (and subsequently, their France poster) from NBOURHOOD caught my eye.  They do have posters for cities all over France as well as countries all over the world, so you don't have to be a francophile to enjoy this one.

Vetements (Clothing) + Mode (Fashion)

The Gingham Shop from Draper James

Draper James Vichy Print

Truth be told I haven't always been a fan of Reese Witherspoon, but I have come to appreciate her more since The Morning Show and Big Little Lies. She is cute no mistake, and I appreciate that she is short (like me) and pulls off a great style. So when I saw her in gingham print pajamas in a photo that led me to the Draper James site (and their full line of gingham apparel and accessories) I was smitten.  In France, gingham is known as Vichy. It is a print that I really love so right now I am having the darndest time choosing which piece from this collection I want! I am certain your francophile amie will feel the same so you can't go wrong with any selection!

Je ne sais quoi Skinny T-Shirt

Zadig JE NE SAIS QUOI SKINNY T-SHIRT

If your loved one has been a very good girl, then spending close to $100 on this Je ne sais quoi Skinny T-Shirt from Zadig et Voltaire might be a great way to show her, or maybe to profess your love if it is a Valentine's situation. It's very pricey, but c'est la vie!

ZOAJE Jewelry

ZOAJE Jewelry Stacked Rings

I love to support small business owners, particularly in France. Trust me, it is not easy being one in France, truly, everything is stacked against you! When it comes to jewelry I like really simple designs, so I am really digging the pieces that Camille of ZOAJE based in Rouen France has designed. After chocolate (and maybe lingerie) jewelry is definitely a Valentine's Day-y gift, so a selection from ZOAJE would make an excellent Valentine's gift for Francophiles!  My current favorite is this stacked ring shown in the photo above.

Le Tanneur Leather Goods

If you have been reading Misadventures with Andi for any length of time you'll know I am a fan of red and that I like bags: travel bags, day bags, weekend bags, etc. I do have some favorite brands and some of them, like Delsey, are French. I recently discovered Le Tanneur. Surprisingly to me, I discovered they aren't new. They've been around since 1898! I think they have expanded their market to places like Amazon so now they are on my, and therefore, your radar! They are not cheap, particularly if you buy the latest models on their website, but I found some good deals on their Amazon store, like this gorgeous red cluth! Want this for my next trip to Paris. I like clutches as I can slip them inside a bigger bag if needed.

7PLIS Eyewear

7PLIS glasses

I LOVE glasses, especially French glasses! Glasses from recycled skateboards made in France? Bien sûr que oui!  That's what 7PLIS has created! I spotted these on a news segment in France and fell in love. Okay, so you can't exactly buy them yet unless you are in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, or Barcelona, but when they ARE available in the US I am going to be standing in line to try them out. If you have Frenchie loving friends in those parts, point them to 7PLIS!

Livres (Books)

Books make the perfect gift for francophiles, I love books set in Paris or about Paris or French life and foods. Here are NEW releases that your Francophile friends and/or family member may not have yet:

  • The Paris Dressmaker by Kristy Cambron: Think Code Name Hélène with haute couture dressmakers! (Mentioned last month, but out for sale on Feb 16)
