J’adore #63 – Frenchie Finds

Happy Bastille Day !!!

Being a huge Francophile it’s kind of surprising to me (and probably you) that this is the first francophile-themed J’adore. This series is dedicated to sharing the internet finds and new products or services that I discover during my online travels or which make their journey to my doorstep.

With a trip to Paris coming up in the next six months I have all things French on the brain, which is why today’s collection looks like it does!

The Paris Style Guide

Elodie Rambaud’s The Paris Style Guide

One of the best parts of planning a trip to Paris is well the planning! And whether you have never been or go every year, I feel like there is no better way to explore my favorite city in the world than to discover through the eyes of a local. Every weekend morning I sit on my couch, feet on my coffee table (sorry, honey), and devour a few pages of Elodie Rambaud’s The Paris Style Guide.

When it comes to the beautiful French lifestyle there is no one who knows it better than Elodie, a magazine stylist, and decorator who lives in Paris.

If you are a Francophile dreaming of Paris, this book is a must-have!

Kasia Dietz

I have shared my friend Kasia’s beautiful handbags, tote bags, and scarves many times over the years. I want to live in Paris just to attend one of her bag painting classes. But alas, while I may see Kasia on nearly every visit to Paris, I can never line my trips up to her workshops! Until I do, I will have to continue to buy bags online like everyone else.

What I am really excited about is her latest collection inspired by Giverny. Having been to Giverny myself, it is not hard to fathom this gorgeous setting serving as an inspiration for Kasia! I love the Monet tote, so colorful and cheerful.

You can buy one for yourself online from Kasia's Etsy store.

Bon Appétit Box

Bon Appetit Box Provence

I have been enjoying the new subscription box craze! For an idea about just how many there are out there, check out my friend Esther's post from Local Adventurer – and that is just the month of June! I haven't tried as many as Esther and Jacob, but there was no way I was going to turn down trying Bon Appétit Box!

This single box or subscription service from French husband and wife team Zoe and Bertrand brings a little bit of France to your door. I tried out the Provence Apéritif Box which I brought to the office for a Friday afternoon apéro and everyone loved it!

There are multiple boxes to choose from including a breakfast box and the products are totally authentic and make me miss France even more. They are one part nostalgic, one part tease, and the subscription service allows me to have a regular box ‘o France.

Obvious State

TRANSLATION: I love this mostly because it's in french.

I have shared Nicole Brown's work many times over the years. Usually, it is her Paris Color Project which I can never get enough of (I just ordered the notebooks this past weekend!).

A few months back, Nicole launched a collection called “Better in French” with tote bags, t-shirts, prints, and coffee cups like the one above which says, “I love this mostly because it's in French.” Everything sounds better in French, n'est-ce pas?

So you and I can be just a little more French, feed the francophile soul and support some pretty fantastic femme fatales by checking out any one of these products.

That’s it for this edition of J’adore!

How about you? What are you currently adoring?

  1. I love all things Paris & France. I dream of touring the country, enjoying the vineyards and indulging in all the food and decadent desserts. That is a beautiful handbag. I would definitely attend a handbag painting class to make my own.

@MJ, if you get to Paris, Kasia’s parties are a ton of fun!

  2. I love that mug!! It makes me want to learn French even more. It’s just such a beautiful language. But I need to get through more Italian first. 🙂

  4. Ah Paris! I lost out on seeing that wonderful place back in 1998. I was in England for an art school trip and a few people wanted to go, and the other half didn’t. So … we didn’t. Shame! I really would love to see, shop, do, eat.. everything there.

@Nancy, I think you would really love it!

  5. Kelly @ TastingPage says:

I love Kasia’s bags as well. They’re so bright and colorful, but I didn’t know about her latest Giverny inspired set. That looks like a must have, as well as everything else on this wonderfully inspired French-culled list!

    1. Andi Fisher says:

@Kelly, I love her bags too, wish I had space for more than the two I have, although I am making room for the Monet tote!

  6. Yes!!! I am loving that lip color!!! The Bon Appetit box is something that I am very interested in getting. I don’t get to travel much, so a box like that allows me to taste and feel the culture. The handbag is just beautiful and it can go with any spring/summer time outfit.

    1. Andi Fisher says:

@Dia, those boxes are an excellent way to explore the world!

  7. Esther of Local Adventurer says:
