J’adore #44 (Things I Bought Edition)
I have sort of been promising this post for a while. I am always finding cute things in my internet travels, but I rarely buy things, I like to do virtual window shopping. But from time to time I succumb to temptation.
I thought I would share some of the things I purchased, a few of which I have highlighted in previous editions of J'adore, others I didn't get around to, and am sharing for the first time today.
Some posts on this site contain affiliate links, meaning if you book or buy something through one of these links, I may earn a small commission (at no extra cost to you!). Opinions are always my own and I’ll never promote something I don’t use or believe in. Also as an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
I think that most women are forever on the hunt for a good bag or purse. With the way I commute, work and travel, I am not much of a purse person. I usually have a messenger bag of some sort. I haven't found anything I really love and nothing with character until I spotted this bag from Peg and Awl (previously shared on J'adore #33).
I am tough on my bags so I was a little apprehensive to pay the price tag on this one, but its materials are so unique and appeal to my eco-conscious sensibilities that I finally gave in and bought it. I got my bag right before my 10-day Southwest road trip, but it had a little boo-boo the first day when we landed in Las Vegas.
I reached out to the owners and they replaced my bag asap. It's gorgeous, made of waxed canvas as well as “vintage fabric lined pockets, reclaimed leather straps and closures (from antique gun holsters and saddles,) brass rivets, and Sam Browne buttons.” I LOVE IT. It is sturdy and unique and I get compliments on it every day!

I recently joined a club at work that meets every Wednesday during the lunch hour. I usually have meetings right before and right after, so I have started bringing lunch from home that day. This is something I don't really like to do, I am not big on leftovers or a cold lunch girl (unless it is sushi) so I decided to make the experience as pleasurable as possible.
Aesthetics and design are important to me, especially when it comes to food (although strangely enough, I am a disaster when it comes to clothes!). When I saw an adorable set of bento boxes from a French company called Mon Bento I couldn't resist and I have such fun eating my lunches with my beautiful red bento and traveling chopsticks!

As I mentioned in J'adore #36, I have been on the hunt for a bed for Jessica. I wanted something that would be comfortable for Jessica but would also have a little character and design to it. I finally found the perfect one for the Misadventures household from Atomic Attic.
It not only appealed to the traveling spirit of the family (after all Jessica has both French and American citizenship…she has an EU passport even before her Mom) but once again it appealed to the “green” in me as it was a recycled suitcase!
It took her a little bit for her to warm up to it, now I can't get her out, she loves it, but she always seems to know when I want to take a photo of her in it, she never cooperates!

I don't wear a lot of t-shirts, but I had to buy this one from RayGun. I just ordered it after seeing it on someone's blog last week and I can't wait to wear it at least once in the office for fun, and then I'll probably just sleep in it. It certainly made me giggle when I saw it!

One thing that I buy more often than anything is food! Some things have been really great while some have not so much. I use my co-workers at work as guinea pigs and I think they would all agree (and I do too!) that the toffees from Pure Goodies were to die for!
As mentioned in J'adore #39, not a single one of my co-workers could resist them and they were a very popular pick! I bought the Blood Orange/Bergamot Dark with Toasted Coconut, the Cayenne Sea Salt, and the Dark Sea Salt versions, all of which were excellent.

That’s it for this edition of J’adore, a few of my recent purchases from favorite finds as I travel the web!
How about you? Have you ever been tempted to buy anything from one of my J'adores?
*bed* haha!
I need that shirt in pink and my goodness that brownie looks sooooooooo good!
@AndiP, only comes in grey, but I bet you could dye it pink!
I hate purses. I always lose my wallet and keys, and I really need one, but I hate carrying them and haven’t found one I like since I bought my first coach in 1988. I love this bag. When I find things I love, I usually buy them b/c it is so rare. I passed on a tandee leather briefcase 10 years ago and have been looking for it ever since. =/
Jessica’s beg = awesome.
@Jen, this one is a keeper! I love it.
I LOVE that bag and Jessica’s bed cracks me up! Great finds (and purchases), Andi!
@Lindsey, the bag is way cool and unique. Jessica is ready to hit the road!
Fun products. I’m drooling over the chocolates!
@Walker, thanks, they are tasty!
Loving that t-shirt! Great finds! xo
I could find something to say about each thing. Love the cat bed and I’m not even crazy about cats. Love the Bento box. And does the Pure Goodies treat have chocolate in it? How is it so dark?
@Jennie, they have chocolate on top, but not in, it might be the Instagram filter I used when taking the photo, but the toffee is a bit on the dark side.
That really is a cool t-shirt. May have to treat myself!
That cat bed is amazing!!! I checked out their etsy store and added it to my favorites. Love how they have reused items. I’m thinking one of their larger beds would work for my Boston Terrier and blend nicely into our decor. Also I am a huge Tshirt fan so I am glad to know of a fun new website to feed that addiction!
@Melissa, thanks so much, I hope you come back! My cat LOVES the bed, she is in it all night!
I love the Bento boxes but the toffees are the most appealing to me. Bergamot and toasted coconut? Sounds so interesting
@Lean, they are awesome – get some for Xmas, you’ll love it!
I absolutely love that bag and I wish I had a cat.
@L, it is a great bag that I am still loving! I am a dog person, but Jessica is very special!
@Andi. Yeah I’d love to try them. I actually have only “experienced” bergamot in perfumes. Have never actually tasted anything with bergamot in it.
@Lean, it is very subtle.
