J’adore #33

I am on a plane heading to Washington, D.C. today so I thought I would post a J'adore as my list was getting a little long. J'adore is the series I do where I share things I have uncovered during my internet travels. As I am not a big shopper these items are really a result of virtual window shopping or cool things that I have seen that I might like to try given time (and money!).

Based on the feedback from my annual reader survey it is a series you like, so I've got to keep finding new things to share with you. Whew, what a challenge! I hope you like my latest finds:

I am increasingly gravitating towards things that have a retro look. I am not sure why, but I stop often to take photos of retro signs and love retro clothing. So when I spotted this travel pouch from Wild and Wolf with a retro design, one that appeals to my traveling ways, I just had to include it.

On the other end of the spectrum is a line of pouches and purses from PG design all with Japanese names and design aesthetics. There are several cases I like including a glasses case, but I also think this card holder is fun and unique (in red of course!):

I am also digging this retro-looking poster from Pop Chart Lab. I think Mr. Misadventures would like it too, he is fond of all things culinary and I think this fits the bill!

I am on the hunt for a new kitty condo for Jessica, but I want something that is unique and cool. I kind of like this mini kitty pod from, well Kitty Pod! The only thing I am hesitating on is the material, for the price I think I want something more than cardboard!

And speaking of animals isn't this pig light from BNO design adorable? It is a line called Abyu Lighting and they make a few other animals that are really cute. This guy is called Jerry. Love it!

I have always been grateful for my military upbringing which had me living all over the world. It afforded me with a very open mind which I think is critical to getting on in the world. I love this t-shirt from Random Objects which is a reminder to everyone else in the world to keep an open mind. I actually did purchase this t-shirt, a rarity for me as I don't wear t-shirts very often!

This last item I really do want to buy but it is on the expensive side so I have thus far resisted! It is a beautiful tote bag which I desperately need as mine is on its last legs and I need a replacement. I love the design and the color of this slate blue bag made by Peg and Awl. What do you think?

That’s it for this edition of J’adore, a few of my recent favorite finds as I travel the web!

How about you? What are you currently adoring?

  1. Wow, that kitty pod is really interesting! It would look much better in our apartment than the fur filled velour basket she sleeps in but I’m not sure she’d go for it. Let us know if Jessica does!

    1. @Lindsey, yeah, I am so over the scrubby carpet cat condos, looking for something more stylish, also so leather chairs, but I can’t imagine that is good for cat claws!

  2. That kitty nest is hilarious. If it was cardboard, though, my cats would eat it. (They think they’re dogs.)

Lately, I can’t get enough looking at, trying on, twirling around in, dreaming about summer dresses. Worn without tights and boots. Still haven’t made my final wardrobe decisions…I have to narrow down the list a little bit!

    1. @Amy, love sun dresses but hardly ever wear them because I am as white as a ghost and feel self-conscious about white arms and legs, but not enough to tan!

  3. I dig ’em all except the purse b/c I can’t stand purses. Seriously. I have purse isoooz. I love that travel PENGUIN BOOKS travel pouch and the pig light is so cool. I really like this feature of your blog Andi.

When I social share your psots now it doesn’t pull your twitter name into the dialogue/tweet box.

    1. @Jen, I hate purses too, but I need something to carry all my stuff! Thanks for the head’s up on the Twitter share, I fixed it!
