J’adore #32
It's time for J'adore! My series where I share with you things I have discovered while off on my internet travels! As it's been a while since my last “episode” the list is getting rather long so I thought I better get this one out the door.
I've got lots of food, travel, and photography-related finds to share, there should be something for everyone!
Some posts on this site contain affiliate links, meaning if you book or buy something through one of these links, I may earn a small commission (at no extra cost to you!). Opinions are always my own and I’ll never promote something I don’t use or believe in. Also as an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
With all the mania over Instagram (I am addicted too!) I am taking a keen interest in some of the iPhone accessories out there, particularly some of the ones from Photo Jojo like this iPhone lens wallet which is a kit filled with what looks like just about any kind of iPhone lens you might need to become an Instagram rock star.
But then I also spotted this simple macro lens band in Travel & Leisure, also from Photo Jojo, being found macro it may just be the perfect starter accessory!
What better way to carry your iPhone equipment plus all your other “real” camera stuff than in a stylish camera bag? I love the ones from Kelly Moore but haven't had a chance to get my hands on one.
I am currently using a Think Tank bag, but always have my eyes out for something that is both functional and has a little bit of character. I have my eye on the Ari MarcoPolo bag from InCase (I use their laptop bag and it is awesome!)
No matter what the bag, I would try to make room for a few of these yummy-looking guys spotted on Oh Joy! Chocolate and bacon-covered pretzel rods from Baconery. Yes, please! I have personally ordered these rods, chocolate-covered bacon, and bacon brownies to try out – I'll let you know if they taste as good as they look!
I am just starting to figure out American and French wine, but I have no clue when it comes to Italian except to say I love prosecco, that is why I adore this new guide from Charming Sardinia. It's a super easy interactive Italian wine guide. You select the food and it tells you the best candidates to accompany your meal – magnifico!
Maybe it's the fact that Mad Men Season 5 is starting soon, but I love these Vintage Dress patterns that are being released by Vogue. I spotted it as a news story in Pure Wow. I have always loved Audrey Hepburn's iconic clothing style, I should get the pattern and make sure I have it if I get to Vietnam where I will have several made!
And speaking of retro or recycled, I am digging on this furniture from 2nd Story Wood Company in Portland (spotted in Thrillist). The distressed/reclaimed look of all the pieces they make is super cool. This coffee maker is incredibly unique!
Nobody wants to look like a tourist, much better to blend in and try to get a local experience if you can. What if there was a quick and easy guide to assist you in your attempt to be incognito? Looks like there is, at least for some of the major cities in the world!
And there is nothing to buy – the info is free…available on the HNTBAT sites. Spotted on Prêt à Voyager, there is a link to the sites and a listing of the available cities – have fun!
We'll end with a fun one. The Simpsons have been around forever (although I have only seen a few of them!) which means they have had the opportunity to travel to many places around the world. You can see exactly where by character in this entertaining interactive map spotted on Slate.
That’s it for this edition of J’adore, a few of my recent favorite finds as I travel the web!
How about you? What are you currently adoring?
Looks like we subscribe to similar sites! Photo JoJO and Pure Wow enter my inbox daily 🙂 Great find on the macro band, I must have missed that one!
