Romantic couple in love dating near Pont des Arts in Paris

There is no doubt that the City of Light is one of the most romantic destinations in the world. Whether you are on your honeymoon or your 50th wedding anniversary, this city will kindle a spark between you and your significant other. Paris is romantic to start with, but there are a few neighborhoods that [...]

French Friday – THATLou

Louvre Museum

A few weeks ago Daisy de Plume visited us to share her passion for Paris.  In that post I mentioned Daisy’s other passion, THATLou, a business she is running during her free time from her regular job and family life – pretty amazing.  I wanted to share more about Daisy’s exciting project.  I for one [...]

French Friday – A Passion for Paris with Anne Ditmeyer

French Friday – A Passion for Paris with Anne Ditmeyer - Cafe

I discovered Anne Ditmeyer, an American designer / editor and blogger behind Prêt à Voyager (translation: ready to travel) via Lindsey of Lost in Cheeseland when Lindsey was featured on Anne’s series Boarding Pass.  It is a series about other travelers and you know how fond I am of finding new people in the blogosphere.  [...]

A Passion for Paris with Sarah Towle

A Passion for Paris with Sarah Towle - Rockin

I first discovered Sarah Towle via Parisian blogging bud, Karin Bates, of An Alien Parisienne. If you know anything about Karin, you’ll understand that while she is not a frequent blogger, when she does publish a post it is always about something or someone who is fascinating and you can be guaranteed the post will [...]

J’adore – Lessons from Madame Chic

Madame Chic

Sunday night I was watching Un Bonheur N’arrive Jamais Seul which came out in cinemas this past summer in France (Happiness Never Comes Alone in English).  It stars Gad Elmaleh, an actor I adore and Sophie Marceau who I find to be a gorgeous representation of the French woman I would die to be.  She is [...]

French Friday – A Passion for Paris with La Mom

A Passion for Paris - La Mom - Parc Monceau

It’s back! A Passion for Paris, my series where I let expats and francophiles express, in their own way, the reasons why they love the city of light (as much as I do!).  I like to host the series at least once a year because there are so many great bloggers out there and I [...]

French Friday – Paris Passages

Passage-Verdeau

There are magical places in Paris. They have the ability to transport you back in time. To the late eighteenth-early nineteenth century to be precise. These portals are called passages and stepping across the threshold of almost any one of them provides a peek into what the the Paris of old and as well as [...]

Comme Chez Maman Rognons d’Agneau

Mr. Misadventures and I have recently been speaking about the dish pictured [...]
