Exploring Central Oregon

Mr. Misadventures and I spent three weeks in Central Oregon, staying in Dayville, Redmond and Crescent. This part of Oregon is really unique. During our time we found ourselves in the arid high desert, in lush redwood forests with gorgeous waterfalls and along volcanic lakes that were both harsh and breathtaking. Weekly Wanderings #24 – Central Oregon, Crescent

We've been spent the week visiting the Cascade Lakes National Scenic Byway and Crater Lake area. I've got one word for this region: MOSQUITOES Okay there are a couple more words: lakes and lava. Weekly Wanderings #23 – Central Oregon, Redmond

Our wanderings have slowed down a bit. The pace in central Oregon calls for that. We spent our five days in Dayville visiting the Painted Hills and taking leisurely drives through some of the back roads. It rained off and on, conducive for resting, which we did a lot of.
