(Not quite) Wordless Wednesday #170: Man Cave

(Not quite) Wordless Wednesday #170: Man Cave

I couldn’t help but share this photo today, I found this business to be quite charming!  Mr. Misadventures and I made a quick trip to Portland this past weekend for a little break.  I’ll write a full post about my weekend, but wanted to post this image from inside Y-Chrome, an adorable barber shop that we visited.

My hubby has recently started a new job which means finding new places to eat, shop and get a haircut.  It was time for a cut and he hasn’t had time, so when we spotted this shop close to our hotel in downtown Portland, we said why not? Plus the name is adorable…short for Y chromosome…get it?  Y is the chromosome that determines if a child is a boy or a girl, two X’s are a girl.  I love the name!

Inside was a really great “man cave.”   Barber stations for traditional cuts as well as old-fashioned shaving, nothing about that is unique, but on the second floor is a pool table!  They give out complimentary beers and water and there is a huge TV tuned to EPSN!  A fantastic spot for a guy’s guy to get a cut or shave!

Loved it!

  9. Hi,
Linking in from Wordless Wednesday – I didn’t even put a picture in mine – but it is Wednesday’s post.
An interesting idea – and it pulls in the men – why not? We have the spas.
    Blessings,
    Janis
