(Not quite) Wordless Wednesday #193: Ocean Beach Surfer

Ocean-Beach-Surfer

San Francisco surfers are a special breed.  Cold water.  All the time. Sharks. Not the kind of conditions that I would want to practice this sport in.  I admire them.

How about you? Ever surfed? Warm or cold water?

  1. I am heading to Oahu in December. This will be my 3rd time but my 6th time having the chance to surf. So far I have passed on all opportunities but am seriously considering it this time around. Or at least the stand up paddle boarding.

  2. I did not even notice all the beautiful pastel houses until I went to Flickr. Size matters. haha! Beautiful! But, oh, all that graffiti. =/

  3. Andi Fisher says:

@Jen, I know! I was bummed that when I cropped the photo and re-sized it it was SO small!

  4. Andi Fisher says:

@Murissa, so brave, I am so uncoordinated, I couldn’t do either.

  5. That looks cold! I once dipped my toes into the icy waters of California and that was already cold enough for me. I guess I’m a more tropical person ;)

  6. I have never surfed, there are things in the water that want to eat me! I would love to try some stand up paddleboarding…in clear blue caribbean water!

  7. I put my feet in the water at this exact beach! Back in June of 2012. That was crispy cold!

  8. Andi Fisher says:

@Tiffany, oh yes, it is seriously COLD!

  9. Nena Sinclair says:

I’ve never surfed, but if I did, I would want it to be in warm water! (Preferably without sharks! lol)

  10. Colleen Boudreau says:

I’ve never surfed before, but I would LOVE to learn.
