I really enjoyed my first WoCavé Mission and I am working furiously on my second. In the meantime I am the office heroine because of the SKINNY COW® treats I have brought in to share. Last month was the Skinny Cow Salted Caramel Pretzel frozen candy bar which was a big hit. This week I brought in the Limited Edition Snickerdoodle Sandwiches and turned Monday into Funday!
The snickerdoodle. This magical cookie made its appearance in my house during my preteen years. Its arrival was quite significant as I cannot remember my mother making anything but chocolate chip cookies before that time. I am not sure if it was Good Housekeeping, Better Homes & Gardens or an Army wife cookie exchange, but at some point in time snickerdoodles and chocolate crinkle cookies became part of the family cookie repertoire.
It certainly was a lot of fun to roll the dough in sugar and cinnamon (or powdered sugar for the chocolate) although I am sure we made a big mess! Because of that there has always been a special place in my heart for these cookies. The Skinny Cow ice cream version reminded me of that and I love that I can enjoy it and not feel guilty – the very reason that my best friend and I have always loved these products!
I thought it would be fun for this week’s Friday Food Foto to share some unique snickerdoodle recipes.
