(Not quite) Wordless Wednesday #189: Tranquility Now

Japanese Tranquility

I have always found that many aspects of the Japanese culture produce tranquility.  I took this photo two weeks ago just before enjoying dinner. It was during my first week of work and I found the setting of my local Japanese restaurant, O’Chame, tranquil. Oh sure, the beer didn’t hurt….

I thrive on change and I am in the middle of it right now.  I started a new job which means new learning, new routines and it creates a bit of a whirlwind.  I am sorry for my sporadic blogging, which began to manifest itself with the hectic February I had, and continues as I ramp up on my new job.

I am enjoying myself immensely and when I conquer my new schedule and brain overload I will be back in full force.  Until then, happy travels and there are nearly five years of blog posts to keep you occupied!

How about you? What is occupying your time these days?  Do you have something that makes you feel tranquil?

  1. Lovely photo – and indeed very tranquil to balance your new job and exciting change. Congrats, my lovely, it all sounds GOOD!
Can’t wait to see you in June (if the job doesn’t change your hols sched).
    xx

  2. I do love sushi and a cold Asahi beer!
Lately what has been keeping me busy is work but also my freelancing work (first timer) so that’s been interesting.
Always trying to keep up with blogging but I have been failing miserably. Time to go into turbo mode after I get back from a business trip to Toronto (also my first time traveler there). Lots of firsts this month.
What keeps me tranquil is wine and yoga.

@Murissa, we have to prioritize what pays the bills, and then blogging comes after! I just got a tiny hint of Toronto and want to go back, I hope you have a great time and I can’ wait to read about it!

  10. Andi Fisher says:

@Daisy, thank you darling! I am still coming to Paris and can’t wait to meet you!

  11. Brandi Price says:

I spend my days reliving my childhood with my son. He makes everything worthwhile while the hubby is at work! Family has a way of calming me down… at the same time it also has a way of making things hectic. I wouldn’t trade either…
