January 2013 Edition of French Frolicking

Galette des RoisBonne année a tous !

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season with family and friends.  Or maybe you left them behind and went to an exotic locale to escape them all!

Today is actually Epiphany in France (and in other parts of the world too), and while it is a religious holiday I love the fun that surrounds the Galette des Rois.

If we can’t be in France to celebrate you and I can read about it via French Frolicking, my monthly series where I invite my French/Francophile blogging friends to share their favorite blog posts from the previous month.

I invite you to explore their blogs, check out one of their posts from December, I promise you that you will want to read more than just one and enjoy a little Sunday reading.

So what’s on the menu for today?

  1. For January’s French Frolicking, I’ve decided to share a bit the darker side of Paris. Everyone (myself included!) often blogs only about the dreamy, inspirational, easy sides of the city, but like all great cities, Paris presents its own set of difficulties as well. Hope this can add to a richer blog discussion about complex, multi-faceted Paris! :)

  2. This is a great linky, as I am hoping to visit France later this year. Merci!
