Happy New Year 2013 and 2012 in Review

Happy New Year 2013

I want to wish each and everyone of you a very Happy New Year.  I hope 2012 was what you wanted it to be.  If not, we get to try all over again in 2013!

Favorite meal: A tie between dinner at The Willows Inn on Lummi Island and dinner at Raku in Las Vegas.

A look at 2013:

I don’t do resolutions but I have been thinking about a theme word for 2013, then I saw this post from Christine and I new her word needed to be my word: REFINE.

I could also add charity not because I haven’t donated to charity before, but because I want to do a more deliberate job of focusing, things like giving up my birthday for charity:water and continuously donating to the AFAR Foundation. In reality that is refinement on something I already do, so I’ll stick with just one theme word.

I want to be very intentional about everything I do and make sure that I am optimizing all my efforts, particularly as I feel like it is going to be a really busy year.  I just need to do everything I am doing that much better so that I can gain efficiencies and maximize the energy I expend.

Easy, right??!!

How about you?  What would your theme word be?

  1. I blogged about mine yesterday. My word or theme for 2013 is Go Deeper.

  2. Oops! A very happy New Year to you.

  3. @Walker, sounds intriguing, on my way to check it out!

  4. Refine is such a dignified word. I chose fun because it’s very difficult for me to have it. ;-)

  5. See — another bonus!! A word for the year. My word is going to be streets b/c of my growing commitment to street photography. I think the older we get the more intentional we do feel we must be about our living. I’m just so struck by how fast the years rocket by. Especially blogging years…

  6. @Jennie, an excellent choice!

  7. @Jen, I really love the idea of that project. Streets can be used in so many ways!

  8. Happy New Year Andi… If my 2013 is half as action packed as your 2012 I’ll be a happy lady! Have a gooden’! x

  9. @Delia, thank you and Happy New Year to you as well!

  10. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!! My 2012 rocked because I FINALLY met you. :)

  11. @AndiP, blushing…..

  12. Thank goodness, I have your posts. I escape in mind when you’re living it in body. Thanks for sharing. P.S. Wow — I can’t believe the number of photos you took last year! Whoa!

  13. @BrainyPintSizer, thanks so much, I love knowing that people can escape into me, I know exactly what you mean, I do it on other’s blogs as well.
