For the last couple of weeks, and through December as well, Fridays have been and will be reserved for my A Passion for Paris or Beyond Paris posts. However, being the total foodie that I am, I have decided to temporarily move Friday Food Foto to Tasty Tuesday (what can I say, I like alliteration!) so that I can talk about some of the yummy treats I have come across in my travels.
I have just returned from a couple of amazing days with Trafalgar in Napa and Sonoma which I can’t wait to write about, but the real world that pays the bills awaits so it will be at least a week until I can get to them. Trust me, it will be worth it!
In the meantime, here is one of many desserts that I devoured this past weekend from the lovely El Dorado Kitchen in Sonoma. I love bananas and it is pretty rare to find a banana-focused dessert, unless you are in New Orleans for banana’s foster or in a pie shoppe where you can get a slice of banana cream pie. So when I saw the banana crisp as a dessert option, I did not hesitate to take it. It was warm and creamy with just enough crumble on top to add texture and it was divine.
Now, onto More Tasty Tidbits:
From Lemon Fire Brigade: Smoked tomato chowder
From Kirbie’s Cravings: Pumpkin cheesecake donut holes
From Tartine & Apron Strings: Swiss chard and pear Comte tart
From What’s For lunch Honey: Pollo alla Cacciatora
From White on Rice Couple: Baked spaghetti squash
From Cafe Fernando: Tomato confit pesto and oven roasted vegetable sandwich
How about you? What have you been eating lately? If you are American, what food item are you looking forward to next week?
