My external hard drive with my one terabyte of photos is in the hospital, the prognosis is not good, it is likely that I lost any photo I took after May of this year. I have some way of rebuilding some of that, but not everything.
My hubby who works in the IT field is a super-hero and he has us set-up like rock stars, but you know what? Sometimes shit just happens. I’ll have 30 seconds of silence for my lost photos and I will move on.
In the meantime, I have some random photos here and there, and I found this beautiful macro shot of some amazing dill pickles that I ordered along with my grilled goat cheese sandwich from the American Grilled Cheese Kitchen in San Francisco.
I am a fan of dill pickles and going with the flow.

Lovely site! Those pickles look delicsh. And good on you for going with the flow and not freaking out/whining.

Angi, hello and thanks for the compliments and the visit! Going to check out your spot right now!
You must have read my mind…or my appetite, at least. Good, SOUR pickles are one of my favorite foods! That one on the right looks particularly tasty.
This happened to me last fall, Andi. I was pretty devastated. Five years of kid pictures. I don’t even think I blogged about it I was so upset. I’m sorry this happened, but, gawd, you have a great attitude. I literally was face down head-in-the-pillow crying. My hard drive was sent to a clean room in SF I think! “Drive Masters” maybe? It cost me a pretty penny, but I did get back about 90 percent of my photos. It was worth every dime as Bridgy’s baby pics were on there. The pickle looks awesome.
@Jen, since Mr. Misadventures takes such awesome photos and many of the stuff I have taken since May he had too, that was the reason I was less traumatized. I lost a lot of iPhone photos that I was more upset about, but Instagram and Foodspotting have a lot of them, so there is always that! I can understand if I lost photos of my children though – that would be devastating. And I think I might be more upset if my hubby had lost his because I steal from him all the time!
Oh My Little ones loves pickles
I remember when I worked in the US (I live just across the border in Canada). when I bought a sandwich in a restaurant it would come with a bag of chips (???) and a spear of dill pickle. The pickle wasn’t something I would think to order but it was tasty. The ones in the foto look as if they might have hot peppers –> that would be awesome.
Those look so good. Me and my husband are big fans of sour pickles. We tried to make some ourselves but ha.. It sooo did not turn out well at all.
@Darlene, I have never tried making anything pickled but I have been watching a lot of older episodes of Top Chef and people seem to do it all the time and I am so curious about it!
@Kitblu, the do have a touch of pepper for spicy and are awesome!
OH my word, I am so craving good crunchy pickles right now. Wonderful snap!
