Am I the only one that geeks out on macro photography like this? Granted, it’s not food but I think I took about 20 shots of these darn drops of sap coming off a split trunk while hiking on the Overlook Trail in Zion.
I get a big kick out of taking photos of stuff like this; yes, I would rather have food as a subject, but this is how I entertained myself while we were on our 10-day roadtrip!
What about you? What is your favorite style of photography?

I entertain myself with stuff like this everyday on the road trip of life. Love this. Ican feel the sap on my finger tips.
Great capture!
Crepe
I am a total sucker for macro shots too–such amazing textural contrast! In fact, when I return from traveling and start looking through my shots, almost everything is close-up, detail obsessed imagery. I have to remind myself to take photographs of the “big picture” too. Love is in the details, I guess?
You’re not the only one by any means. LOL That’s why we have macro lenses. To get up close and personal.
@PinkFrenchie, so true! I have to remind myself of the same! I am lucky my hubby is a bit more big picture and gets a lot of those shots as well.
Fabulous photo!
beautiful! I want to visit all the national parks some day!
Love the picture and found the article interesting
wow! that’s so cool! I love photography and this type is one of my favorites!
I also like macro…..I took a great picture of a cactus recently
It was almost wordless.
