I love the green in this photo! On Wednesday I posted the cheese plate from Bar Agricole in San Francisco and I decided to share another photo from the apéro I had there. This time it is something I had never seen served before, Kadota figs.
They come from the Mediterranean, mainly Monrovia and this version was served with skin on. They came with a little ricotta cheese, a drizzle of honey and a dandelion leaf. A very beautiful combination.
Now, onto More Tasty Tidbits:
From How Sweet It Is: Shrimp burgers with Chipotle cream and coconut peach salsa [AMAZING!]
From How Sweet It Is: Bourbon marshmallow S’mores with bacon
From White on Rice Couple: Tomato bacon pizza
From Framed Cooks: Grilled figs
For my gluten-free freinds:
From With Style & Grace: Simple lemon pasta
How about you? What have you been eating lately?

Yum, they look good. Did you try them? How were they? Do you eat the skins?
@Trish, they were delish, skins and all!
What have I been eating? Zucchini! and peaches. sorbet is easy peasy to make.
@Julia, those sound good…peach cobbler by chance…or peach sorbet?
Your blog is making me lose weight b/c I am becoming a food snob. Given how often I frequent the drive thru lane, I think it’s a good thing!
@Jen, oh goodness! Can’t wait to go on a food hunt when I finally get to OKC!
That looks really good, I don’t think I’ve ever eaten fresh figs – and what a nice combination. Yesterday I ate a big plate of stir fried pumpkin mixed with egg, and a few plates of rice to go with it – really good!
This looks so good! I’m from basically the middle of nowhere in the northeast and
we just don’t see things like this or many “fun” foods in restaurants at all. Definitely
one of the disadvantages! Katharina

Oh, and crowned with a dandelion leaf! What a beautiful and dainty bite this pretty figs make!
@Ann, thanks it was as pretty as it was delish!
love figs thanks
never had figs…of any kind! these look good and i’d like to expand my rather dull food list so what did you think of these? did you eat one?
I recently made Lemon Crostata with Fresh Figs and Goat Cheese (found it on Food Network site) that was out of this world. There is nothing like Fresh Fig, so incredibly sweet
@Nadine, oh that sounds amazing!
